A Practera user is anyone with an administrator, author, coordinator, expert or learner license. These user roles can be divided into two groups: those who design and deliver experiences (administrators, authors, and coordinators) and those who participate in the experiences (learners and experts). Let’s take a closer look at each of these user types.
Administrators
Administrators on Practera manage all aspects of an institutional portal, including branding and the ability to invite other administrators. This is the highest level of access on Practera and it has visibility over billing, account management, and all experiences inside an institution. Administrators access the Author & Coordinator Interface.
Administrators are also able to perform the same actions as authors, described below.
Authors
Authors on Practera create, prepare, and edit experiences for learners and experts. They have access to one or a set of particular experiences and can also add, build, and create their own experiences on Practera (either by using the Experience Library of from scratch). Authors share experience access with other authors or coordinators and have the ability to invite learners and experts to any experience they are part of. Authors access the Author & Coordinator Interface.
When delivering their experience, authors can monitor the experience dashboard, launch interventions, facilitate feedback loops, assign other users to provide feedback, and support experts and learners through chat.
Coordinators
Coordinators on Practera are able to support the delivery of experiences to learners and experts. However, coordinators are unable to edit or create experiences, which is their main difference from authors. Coordinators share experience access with authors or other coordinators and have the ability to invite learners and experts to any experience they are part of. Coordinators access the Author & Coordinator Interface.
When delivering an experience, coordinators can can monitor the experience dashboard, launch interventions, facilitate feedback loops, assign other users to provide feedback, and support experts and learners through chat.
