Senior Software Architect/Tech Lead

We are looking for an experienced Software Architect / Tech Lead to join our team. You will be responsible for collaboratively designing, developing and implementing software solutions to solve complex problems and provide technical leadership to our engineering team.

What you will do:

  • Ensure software meets all functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance and coaching to engineers
  • Collaborate with Product, Quality Assurance, Data Science and Customer Success teams to deliver software solutions for our customers and their users
  • Collaborate with engineering team members to determine best practices and requirements for software

What you should have:

  • Experience working on large-scale complex software projects including monolithic and service-based architectures

  • Professional experience doing code reviews, addressing technical debt and overseeing plans for improvements
  • 8+ years experience designing and building software applications, relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent demonstrated capability
  • Attention to detail

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our team. We are looking for someone who not only understands how to code but also has well-developed problem-solving skills and knows how to build a system.

Senior Learning Designer

Are you passionate about real-world learning? Join Us! We are seeking a Senior Learning Designer to help create awesome experiential learning programs which help people build skills for the future of work.

 

About the role:

As a Senior Learning Designer with Practera you will lead the design and delivery of effective, high quality and efficient experiential learning programs for a variety of clients. You will work closely with the Executive Director, Design to grow Practera’s Design Business and develop and embed practical, evidence-based design methodologies and processes. On a daily basis, you will work as part of a global team of design professionals, communicate with internal and external teams and manage a portfolio of programs to deliver successful outcomes. We are looking for someone to come on an exciting growth journey with us with exciting career growth prospects available for the successful candidate!

 

We are flexible as to where the right candidate is based – this can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth – and we are looking for candidates with 5+ years relevant experience for this role. This is not an entry-level role.

 

About you:

You are a passionate and adaptable learning practitioner who thrives in an innovative and agile working environment, quickly adapting to change and eager to help drive the team’s success. You are a ‘digital specialist’ comfortable with learning and using new technologies. You enjoy the challenge and process of supporting a multitude of exciting projects; from initial client design meetings through to creation and performance monitoring of digital experiential learning programs. You have a keen interest in learning design, edtech and/or experiential learning and you’re looking to develop and be challenged!  

 

Scope of role:

  • Work with and advise University, Government and corporate customers to design and implement new experiential learning solutions
  • Lead the design, development, and evaluation of a portfolio of excellent experiential learning programs on our award-winning learning platform
  • Create and evaluate learning content and instructional materials that support the achievement of learning outcomes
  • Support the development of practical, evidence-based design methodologies and processes
  • Support the growth of Practera’s Design Business from new design, product and program sales 
  • Serve as a senior member of Practera’s global Design Business, supporting and mentoring up and coming talent

 

The ideal candidate

You should have the following experience and credentials:

  • 5+ years in learning/instructional design experience and/ or teaching
  • Strong demonstrated experience in client-facing roles, including an understanding of the consulting and advisory process to deliver mutually-beneficial outcomes
  • Significant experience managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and leading individuals or teams
  • Strong, demonstrated understanding of adult learning theories
  • Experience in content development and content management is an asset
  • Demonstrated proficiency with education technology… we’re an edtech company, did we mention that?
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline

The Programs Coordinator (QLD) is responsible for the planning, design and delivery of amazing Work Integrated Learning projects programs engaging university students with industry. These involve supporting University students or professional learners engaging with industry in digitally enabled programs like team projects, mentoring, accelerators and skills credentialing. This role will be based in Queensland, and have a state-based focus but will also support the broader national Practera team in the context of a fast-growing education technology and services company.Scope of role
Manage the preparation, planning, preparation, delivery and reporting of programs in line
with Practera’s overall processes, systems and calendar to deliver high quality customer and
participant outcomes:
  • Coordinate all QLD program execution to high quality standards, including planning, preparing, delivering (e.g. configuration, UAT, program and student support) and data driven reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Execute on customer support, both for Practera’s customers and their authorised users (including learners and mentors)
  • Support learning design projects, customer delivery and continuous improvement.

STEM Programs Manager

About the role
