What is an adaptive learning pathway? #

Within your experience you may want to create adaptive learning pathways. These pathways allow you to stage gate content or to individualise content based on learners needs. To create this adaptive learning pathway you would lock and/or hide various content, either at the Group, Activity or Instruction/Feedback level.

To create this adaptive learning content utilising locking and hiding you would set up triggers. These triggers are earned and awarded automatically to learners and experts based on them completing all the relevant rules/conditions you set. Triggers can be set up by Administrators and Authors during the design of the experience.

What is locking? #

Locking involves blocking access to specific content (group, activity or task) until the user has earned a specific trigger by completing the relevant conditions.

In the app, locked content will have a padlock symbol next to it and it will be greyed out, once earned this padlock will be removed and they will be able to view the content. See the video of an example of this locking method below.

What is hiding? #

Hiding content means learners are unable to see this group/activity or task until they have earned a specific trigger by completing the relevant conditions.
